My experiences in sports
I don’t have a single “main-sport”, I’m not a champion. So, what is my strength in the field of sports and fitness? Maintaining long-term motivation and finding joy in movement. I claim this as a psychologist, an active athlete, and a future sports therapist.
My focus is on how to sustain an active lifestyle over decades – including endurance, strength, and skill-based sports.
My goal isn’t to reach the top in everything; my goal is to stay just as fit, healthy, and sporty in my 50s and 60s as I am in my 20s-30s.

Running
This is probably where I spend most of my training time. I especially enjoy half-marathons and trail races with over 500 meters of elevation gain.
Some favorite races and results: Individual: Border-Run, Virovitica 2017 – 1st place
Paks, Atomfutás – 2nd in 2016, 3rd in 2017, 2nd in 2021, Garmin WTF Buda 2021 – 3rd place; in Team: Szarvasűzők – 1st place in 2018 and 2019, Rókaűzők – 1st place in 2018

Calisthenics / Street Workout
The world of bodyweight training. I train 3–4 times a week. I mostly focus on maintaining strength with the basics (push-ups, pull-ups, dips), but for variety and fun, I also practice some of the advanced, more spectacular moves (like front lever, back lever, and muscle-ups).

Touring Bike & Hiking
Three-in-one: sport, chill, and adventure. I mostly do these only in the summer, but when I do, I often spend a whole day – or even 2-3 days – from morning to evening with cycling.

Swimming
I prefer open water swimming over the pool – especially when it’s the sea. It helps really a lot for body alignment in the water. I mostly swim freestyle and butterfly, but for variety, I always throw in a bit of backstroke and breaststroke, too.

Football (Soccer)
Mainly in a informal setting, among friends, usually small-sided or indoor. Normal-pitch football stresses me out more than it puts me in flow. Otherwise, I’ve played for regional-level teams in Hungary (“megye1” and “megye2”), in frames of university sport in Germany, and in Serie 5.2 (HKF) in Denmark.
Archery & Table Tennis
Archery & Table Tennis:
How often I do these depends a lot on my training partners (friends) and their free time.
Sometimes it’s several times a month, sometimes just once every three months.

Of course, I’m open to trying other sports too – I occasionally take part in various sport activities (e.g. yoga, endurance-trails, like Spartan Race, indoor climbing, etc).
